I practice holistic health coaching. This means that I look not only at food but at the large pieces of your life that influence your body and mind, and how we can establish a connection amongst it all. We will incorporate what are called primary foods, the many facets of your life that contribute to health and vitality including physical activity, relationships, career and spirituality, to provide you true balance within.
An Intuitive Specialty
I specialize in a teaching approach called Intuitive Eating, which is ideal for individuals who have struggled with chronic dieting, disordered eating, weight loss/gain cycles, and body image. Intuitive Eating, a nutrition philosophy developed by Evelyn Tribole & Elyse Resch is a powerful tool that guides you in learning how to create a lifelong healthy relationship with food, the mind and body; where YOU ultimately become the expert of your own body. You will learn how to make peace with food and emotional eating, letting go of food restriction and food rules. The core premise of this approach is learning how to respond to your inner cues and inner wisdom.

I had been suffering with issues with food for a while. I would gain some weight, diet, lose the weight and then eventually gain it all back (sometimes plus more). I finally got sick of my unhealthy relationship with food and with my body and wanted to end this struggle once and for all. I happened to stumble upon Jenn’s blog and noticed her experience with intuitive eating which intrigued me. As luck would have it Jenn was offering a special on her coaching and I felt compelled to reach out to her. Speaking with Jenn was like a breath of fresh air. I realized I was not alone in this battle and it was helpful to finally express what I had been dealing with internally and receive non-judgmental and genuinely kind feedback. While working with Jenn I have gained some valuable tools to help with my journey to achieve a healthy lifestyle. These tools included learning the intuitive eating principals and figuring out what works for me, learning how to bring fun back to the kitchen and experiment with new and interesting foods, finding fun and enjoyment out of physical activity and exercise, developing a sense of confidence and achievement about the person I am today, dealing with my “inner gremlin” and working to bring my Circle of Life back into balance.
