COUPLE OF THE MONTH

Meet our Couple of the Month Josh and Ashley Turka! Josh and Ashley met in grad school, but it is their love for hiking and traveling around the world have kept them married for 4 years and together for 10 years this spring! (Mazel tov!) 

Ashley started working with our Personal Trainer (and Owner) Alan Goldsmith in March 2017. Ashley has always taken classes in local big box gyms to stay fit, but she wanted a bit more instruction with form as well as help getting stronger. Ashley works hard at bluebird bio as a Senior Clinical Trial Manager, so her workouts are usually a way to release some stress. Because she is so consistent with it, she has also gained a tremendous amount of strength to the point that Josh began noticing and asked Ashley to have her connect him with Alan. Josh then started working with Alan in July 2018.

Josh came to Alan with limited knowledge of strength building, but has done yoga many times and really enjoys running to clear his head. Being that Josh works as a butcher and store manager at M.F. Dulock, he noticed that having a bit more core and overall strength would make his job feel less strenuous.
Alan could not be happier with Josh's and Ashley's commitment and progress through his programs and is excited to see them further their strength to be able to hop between mountains during their vacations and hikes!

CLIENT CORNER
If you are looking for some serious motivation in the start of 2019, look no further than this month's highlight client, Eric Fernberg. Eric started training with Naomi Rotstein in the beginning of October. He came in with a BIG goal and tunnel vision to get there. He wanted to lose about 30 pounds, get healthier, get strong and learn better eating habits along the way.


From his Personal Trainer, Naomi: "Eric is the definition of what happens when you listen to your trainer. Every single thing I throw his way, he listens, never questions and always stays laser focused during our sessions, with some laughs along the way. I put Eric on a two day a week strength training program with progressive overload, starting his from foundational movements in the first phase (4 weeks) By the end of the first phase, he was already down about 8-9lbs! He also worked with our in house Dietician, Lainey Younkin to help him learn better eating habits that he now has for life! Eric is such a pleasure to work with.

He is always :
(1) On time
(2) Willing to try anything
(3) Does his cardio homework on our off days
(4) LISTENS and is CONSISTENT.
